Community Service Organization Award

The Mount Holly Community Awards Committee (MHCAC) is seeking nominations for the 2026 Mount Holly Community Service Organization Award. A panel of judges named by the MHCAC will review all nominations and name the 2026 Community Service Organization using the criteria listed below. The 2026 Mount Holly Community Service Organization will be announced at the annual Mount Holly Community Dinner on April 30th.

Purpose of the Mount Holly Community Service Organization Award

The Community Service Organization Award annually recognizes a club or organization that serves the Mount Holly community and has contributed significantly to the quality of life in Mount Holly. Past service may be considered but emphasis should be placed on the organization’s community service activities and accomplishments during the current year.

Criteria for Selection of the Mount Holly Community Service Organization Award

1. The organization’s service should result in a measurable and significant positive effect on the Mount Holly community.

2. The organization recognized as the Community Service Organization should demonstrate significant commitment and dedication through volunteered time and efforts.

3. The service provided by the recipient of this award must benefit the community at large or a specific non-profit organization serving the Mount Holly community.

4. The degree of participation from community, members of the organization, or volunteers will be a key criterion in selection of the Community Service Organization of the Year.

5. The organization’s actions or projects should be considered a significant contribution and go beyond the normal scope of duty.

6. The service should inspire others to become more involved and contribute to their community.

7. At least part of the organization’s volunteer action must have occurred within the previous 12 months.

Instructions for Submitting a Nomination

1. All nominations submitted must use the Nomination Form attached to this announcement.

2. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

3. No attachments will be accepted (letters of support, endorsement, etc.).

4. While there is no limit in the length of the information requested on nominees, conciseness is appreciated.

5. Nominations will be accepted beginning on February 1, 2026 and must be received NO LATER THAN March 16, 2026.

Submit a Nomination for Community Service Organization of the Year

General Instructions

  • Assume the selection committee is not familiar with the organization you have chosen to nominate. Use specific examples and descriptive language to showcase the attributes and contributions of the organization.

  • Understand that the selection committee will judge nominees on how the organization fits the criteria listed for this award.

  • Avoid general statements. Describe what the organization did, how it was done, and what the impact was.

  • Please provide all information completely and clearly. Incomplete forms will not be considered.

  • Submit all materials by the deadline of March 16, 2026.
