Emerging Business of the Year
The Rotary Club of Mount Holly in coordination with the Mount Holly Community Awards Committee (MHCAC) is seeking nominations for the 2026 Mount Holly Emerging Business of the Year. A panel of judges named by the MHCAC will review all nominations and name the recipient of the Emerging Business of the Year for 2026 using the criteria listed below. The 2026 Mount Holly Emerging Business of the Year will be announced at the annual Mount Holly Community Dinner on April 30th.
Purpose of the Mount Holly Emerging Business of the Year
The Mount Holly Emerging Business of the Year Award recognizes a new business that has demonstrated outstanding growth, innovation, and community engagement within its early years of operation in Mount Holly. This award celebrates businesses that show strong potential for long-term success and have made a measurable positive impact on the local economy and community.
Criteria for Selection as the Mount Holly Emerging Business of the Year
1. The business must have been in operation for less than three years within the Mount Holly city limits.
2. The business should demonstrate innovation or creativity in products, services, or operations that distinguish it within its industry or community.
3. Business activities should have a positive and measurable impact on Mount Holly’s economic vitality or quality of life.
4. Business should display commitment to community engagement, including partnerships, sponsorships, or local involvement.
5. The business should demonstrate a plan for sustainable growth and long-term contribution to the Mount Holly business community.
6. Consideration will be given to businesses that serve as a model of entrepreneurial spirit, inspiring others to pursue new ventures in Mount Holly.
Instructions for Submitting a Nomination
1. All nominations submitted must use the Nomination Form attached to this announcement.
2. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
3. No attachments will be accepted (letters of support, testimonials, etc.)
4. While there is no limit in the length of the information requested on nominees, conciseness is appreciated.
5. Nominations will be accepted beginning on February 1, 2026 and must be received NO LATER THAN March 16, 2026.

• Understand that the selection committee will judge nominees based on how they fit the criteria listed for this award.
• Avoid general statements. Describe what the business has done, how it was accomplished, and the measurable impact on Mount Holly.
• Please provide all information completely and clearly. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
• Submit all materials by the deadline of March 16, 2026.
